Located in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, Borgo di Vagli is a meticulously restored 14th century hamlet surrounded by a protected area of olive groves, fruit trees and ancient oaks. From the terraces, you can enjoy panoramic views of the breathtaking Tuscan hills, including a spectacular view of the 10th century Pierle castle.

Enjoy the natural beauty of the area surrounding Borgo di Vagli by exploring eight private circular walking and hiking paths, which vary in difficulty and distance. Just a short, scenic drive you will find the hilltop town of Cortona, beautiful Lake Trasimeno as well as two golf courses. 

The ancient towns and cities of Pienza, Arrezzo and Perugia are all within a 45 minute drive and Florence is an hour's drive. 

ABOUT BORGO DI VAGLI

Borgo di Vagli is the result of a ten-year restoration project conceived and executed by renowned restoration engineer Fulvio Di Rosa. Fulvio's efforts have allowed Borgo di Vagli to retain much of its original feel, atmosphere, and charm, without compromising modern day comforts. 

Your Home

Ownership at Borgo di Vagli comes with use of any one of the 6 two bedroom, 2 bathroom residences. Each home has been restored with an authentic look and feel but with modern comforts including full refrigerator, hob stove, dishwasher, cooking utensils, coffee maker, toaster, juicer, a variety of locally sourced copper pots and pans, and a full set of dishes and glassware. WiFi is available along with a television and portable bluetooth speaker. The bathrooms are equipped with a full shower or shower/tub combo along with sumptuous Busatti towels and piped towel warmers for the cooler seasons   

Swimming Pool and Private Terraces

An inviting 66-foot (20-metre), outdoor swimming pool graces the hamlet's top terrace, providing the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Escape to over 15 terraces across the hillside amongst fig, almond, mulberry, apple, pear and loquat trees, not to mention the hedges of rosemary and lavender - ideal for a relaxing afternoon with a good book, a nap in the sun, or a quiet conversation over a glass of wine.

 

The Trattoria

Housed at the base of the 14th century guard tower and lit by candles, the Trattoria serves delicious hand prepared Tuscan meals from products sourced locally with famous regional wines.  Dinner is served each evening, including the infamous Monday night pizza night, and a breakfast brunch on Sunday and Monday.

 

Culture, Arts, History and Cuisine

Borgo's office will book tickets for museums, concerts and festivals such as the world renowned Cortona Tuscan Sun Festival, Spoleto's Due mondi; Arts Festival and the Umbria Jazz Festival. They can also offer advice on local attractions and fiestas, as well as assisting you in arranging wine tours, directing you to local markets and fulfilling any special requests you may have.

USE OF YOUR HOME

A one-tenth share comes with a guaranteed 4 weeks use each year. Further use is unlimited as owners can also book  'Space Available' and 'Short Notice' stays at the property. If some owners visit less often, other owners can visit more.  Unaccompanied friends and relative can also use the property.

Nearest Airports - Perugia 40 minutes, Florence 1 hour + 45 minutes, Pisa 2 hours, Rome 2 hours.
