Le Moulin de Lantouy is located in the communes of 12260 Salvagnac Cajarc and 46260 Saint Jean de Laur along some 500m of the River Lantouy, straddling the Lantouy at one point and terminating at the River Lot.
The riverside village of Cajarc is two kilometres away and offers such amenities as restaurants, cafés, grocers, bakers, butchers, pharmacy, a tourist office and a weekly local market. The towns of Figeac, Villefranche de Rouergue and Cahors are within easy reach by car. Cahors is the major city in the Lot department and is famous for its medieval streets and the UNESCO World Heritage listed Valentré Bridge with its 3 fortified towers.
Le Moulin de Lantouy is an old watermill with converted mill buildings comprising 5, self contained buildings : Le Moulin, La Grange, La Maison, La Mouline and finally Le Pigeonnier. The buildings are set around a courtyard with the exception of La Mouline which is on its own island. Each cottage provide modern comfortable living in traditional centuries-old buildings
The property is set in over 2.5 hectares. There is more land adjacent making a total of 10 hectares. It was previously a watermill, but was converted in the eighties to holiday accommodation having been previously abandoned.
The cottages provide privacy whilst enjoying the abundance of nature all around and all have access to the River Lantouy & the River Lot. The source of the Lantouy is in woodland about 20 minutes walk from the Mill through woodland. It is a stunning place, as is the surrounding countryside. In the old days, the Lantouy powered the Mill. Much of the mechanism is within the grounds of the property still. The Lantouy flows into the River Lot at the end of one of the meadows.

Converted barn for 10 persons with direct access to the stream, the Lantouy and the meadows of the property. The main entrance from the courtyard has a large glazed double swing door, which lets in lots of light. The property is equipped with a fitted kitchen and a large dining table.
The bedrooms are in the rear part of the building on two floors. Steps at the rear lead into a private garden alongside the Lantouy.
Formerly the miller's house. This two bedroomed apartment is on two floors and faces into the courtyard. It has a large fitted kitchen in one corner, the lounge areas is cosy and faces a cast iron log burner in the opposite corner.

Fractional ownership arrangements
Each of the 5 cottages at Le Moulin de Lantouy are available for sale on an outright basis although fractional ownership of each cottage by a small group will also be considered. Each owner will have full use of the grounds and common areas within the estate. The detailed usage rights, rental options and property management arrangements will be discussed with each interested buyer.
NOTE: A sixth cottage, La Mouline located on a small island on the river is also available for sale to a purchaser of one of the other cottages.
Getting to Le Moulin de Lantouy
The closest international airport is at Toulouse, a one hour 40 minute drive to the south. Bergerac airport is a slightly longer drive to the west. Both have regular flights from the UK and other European cities.
