The riverside village of Cajarc is two kilometres away and offers such amenities as restaurants, cafés, grocers, bakers, butchers, pharmacy, a tourist office and a weekly local market. The towns of Figeac, Villefranche de Rouergue and Cahors are within easy reach by car. Cahors is the major city in the Lot department and is famous for its medieval streets and the UNESCO World Heritage listed Valentré Bridge with its 3 fortified towers.

The Property

Le Moulin de Lantouy is an old watermill with converted mill buildings comprising 5, self contained buildings : Le Moulin, La Grange, La Maison, La Mouline and finally Le Pigeonnier. The buildings are set around a courtyard with the exception of La Mouline which is on its own island. Each cottage provide modern comfortable living in traditional centuries-old buildings

The property is set in over 2.5 hectares. There is more land adjacent making a total of 10 hectares. It was previously a watermill, but was converted in the eighties to holiday accommodation having been previously abandoned.

The cottages provide privacy whilst enjoying the abundance of nature all around and all have access to the River Lantouy & the River Lot. The source of the Lantouy is in woodland about 20 minutes walk from the Mill through woodland. It is a stunning place, as is the surrounding countryside. In the old days, the Lantouy powered the Mill. Much of the mechanism is within the grounds of the property still. The Lantouy flows into the River Lot at the end of one of the meadows.
