The Area

The small town of Vallière is situated in the Creuse in the middle of France between Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand. Quietly situated, it has all basic services: a baker, butcher, greengrocer, small supermarket, post office, pharmacy, petrol station, tennis court and a GP within walking distance. A restaurant and pizzeria will be opening soon. Larger supermarkets can be found in Aubusson.

 

The town is 15km from the Tapestry town of Aubusson and also 15 minutes from Felletin where there is a popular local weekly market. The landscape of the area is varied – well wooded, meadows with beautiful brown Limousine cattle, lakes such as Lac de Vassiviere, magical streams, welcoming villages and beautiful views. The area is ideal for walkers and cyclists and still offers unspoilt natural beauty.

The historic city of Limoges is a 70 minute drive to the west of Vallière.
