Answers to common questions about buying through Sojourn8
Except for properties we have already purchased, the process starts with a small group of buyers - normally between 2 and 8 - with similar aspirations and motivations. Key preferences such as budget, location and expected usage are discussed before we present a shortlist of properties.
We then take care of everything for you - co-ordinating the purchase, instructing lawyers and setting up the ownership structure, the usage rights and the property management arrangements.

The fraction price shown on each listing on Sojourn8 includes all relevant taxes and fees but not any annual charges that may be payable when you complete your purchase. These will be shown separately as the 'monthly charge'.
This varies for each property. In some cases, your purchase can complete within 21 days. For properties where all the shares have to be sold first, completion may take several months. Please complete the Enquiry form for more information on the property you are interested in.
Yes, we can arrange viewings of any property you are interested in.
Just as the property must be a good fit for the owners, we also ensure that the owners' motivations and preferences align. A key part is the aggregation process - creating a group of owners with different usage requirements. This ensures they have an experience which is as close as possible to whole ownership.

This will depend on the share you are buying and will be shown in the listing details. For example, if you are buying a 1/8th share, you will normally have 6 weeks (42 days) annual use. The process for arranging your stays will vary for each property - please complete the Enquiry form for scheduling information on the property you are interested in.

Yes, your property will have a thorough makeover to create a beautifully designed, furnished and equipped holiday home. Sojourn8 manages this process following completion.
Not at all. As the name suggests, timeshare owners have the right to stay at a property for a fixed week each year, and nothing more. With fractional ownership, you will jointly own your holiday home with a small number of like-minded owners and will have flexible usage of it throughout the year.
The feedback we have received is that most owners prefer privacy for themselves and their family. Therefore, to maintain confidentiality, we do not facilitate contact between owners.
Each property will have a local management company to deal with cleaning, inventory checking, repair and maintenance. Sojourn8 oversees the this work to ensures the highest service levels. Sojourn8 is also responsible for arranging insurance of the property and payment of all outgoings.
No, but you will be free to allow friends and family to use it.
Yes, each owner will have a secure area in which they can store their personal belongings.
Yes, you will be free to sell your share at any time, normally subject to offering it to the other owners first. For some properties, there will be an open market sale after a fixed period - this will be clearly stated in the listing.
