About the Estate

Font Neuve is a beautiful estate of 10 hectares, a special, hospitable and small-scale project where intimacy and freedom are united. For many, it feels like coming home, being able to be yourself completely. Children are children again and enjoy everything nature has to offer.

After you have passed the gate of Font Neuve you enter the valley that forms part of the estate ensuring complete privacy. At that moment you will be taken away by the fantastic peace and beauty that you can feel here. The renovated country house is slightly raised in the park at the edge of the forest, giving  a beautiful view of the valley from your terrace. In the valley lies the heated swimming pool, the orchard with various fruit trees including apples, cherries, nuts, plums, figs and kiwis. Seats have been created in various places on the estate from where you can enjoy the peace and quiet. Through the wooded area, walks from its own grounds and deer and wild boar are regular, welcome guests. We probably don't have to tell you anymore that we are in the middle of the Périgord, where culinary bon vivants and wine lovers are comfortable.

With its flexible accommodation, Font Neuve would be ideal for those looking to run creative or well-being activities such as art, music, cookery and yoga during the year.

The Properties

The country house consists of 4 and 6 person holiday homes. The holiday homes are very comfortable and attractively furnished with accessories and paintings. All bedrooms have first-class box-spring beds and all windows have shutters so that it stays nice and cool inside and your children will probably sleep an hour longer in the morning. This in combination with the rest assures you an excellent night's rest. The living / dining room has a sitting area, fireplace, stereo with CD player and TV with satellite reception. The kitchen is equipped with four gas rings, oven, microwave, fridge, filter coffee maker or Senseo and dishwasher. Private terrace with garden furniture and sun beds.

 A special location, completely private, ideal for a party in a natural environment. For several people there are different creative solutions on the site itself or in Souillac, less than 2 km away.

The large covered terrace offers space for 26 people and is equipped with all kitchen conveniences. There is hot and cold running water, an oven, gas stove, grill and a dishwasher. For larger groups you can have a chapiteau (luxury party tent) installed. 

 

The Area

Font Neuve is located on the border of Dordogne and Lot in the privacy of a valley just outside of Souillac. The Dordogne is on the western foothills of the Massif central. The area extends between the Limousin to the north, the sunny valleys of Aquitaine to the west and the fertile valley of the Garonne to the south. Souillac is famous for its 17th Century benedictine abbey. The town has a range of shops and restaurants.

Co-ownership arrangements

This is an opportunity to become a joint owner at the Font Neuve estate by either owning a cottage outright or with one other owner.  All running costs will be shared between the owners. The detailed usage rights, rental options and property management arrangements will be discussed as a group of owners is formed.

2 bedroom cottage (sleeps 4) - €160,000 (whole)  /  €80,000 (half share)

Getting to Font Neuve

The closest airports are at Brive-la-Gaillarde (20 minute drive) and Bergerac (95 minute drive).

Both have flights from major European cities.
